The 3 unmovable musical symbols
The three unmovable symbols that are always found at the beginning of every sheet music written for vocal and instrumental music performances are: the clef, the key signature, and the time signature, also known as the meter.
The Music Intervals are made of
Steps, Skips, same and Leaps.
The intervals above can be interpreted, read and/or performed in the following manner: legato, staccato, ascending, descending, in different melodic contours, and using the same or different notes that can be high or low. Every chord depends on the intervals assigned to its composition .

Music and Mathematics are inseparable.
Music and Math are intertwined and cannot be dissociated. The music notes and rests can be identified and named by their mathematical values.
For instance, The whole note, the half note, the quarter note, the eighth note, the sixteenth note, the thirty second note, and the sixty fourth note can also be named and/or identify as follow: 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64. This is a practical way to expand the student's knowledge of the connection between different academic contents such as Music, Math, English, Geography, Social studies etc..
The seven sevens are a set of seven musical symbols belonging to seven individual groups with their own entities, meanings and contexts. Language arts and mathematical contents are integrated in the musical concepts that are represented by symbols. Symbols is form of communication that has existed for thousands of years.
The Grand Staff
Originally the grand staff was made of eleven lines separated by spaces. As knowledge increased the eleven lines were divided into two groups of five lines and one line between the two groups. The middle line is the 6th line from of original eleven. It is standard to read the lines from bottom to top. Thus the pattern line-space-line-space.
The Accidentals
The accidentals are musical symbols that alter the pitch, also known as tone. The names are sharp, flat, and natural. The sharp raises a notes bu half a tone/step, the flat lowers a note by half a tone, and the natural cancels both and return the altered note to its original state. They are placed before the notes. The sharps and the flat determine the various keys.
The Perfect Intervals
The perfect intervals are at the core of all structured vocal and instrumental piece to ever exist. They are a special relationship between themselves and are different from any other intervals, namely the minors, the major, the diminished and the augmented intervals. They are known as the perfect progressions I, IV, V, VIII(I).

The keyboard is the most prolific of all instruments for many reasons. To name a few, the 88 keys of the piano cover the range of most if not all the existing diatonic instruments from the harp to the piccolo.
The piano range is still beyond those two instruments. It is very useful and reliable for singers and for the tuning of string instruments such as the guitar and wind instruments. Students are encouraged to learn, memorize, and draw an octave of the keyboard.
